夢は見るもんじゃなく、そう叶えるもんでしょう？

Today’s title is “yume wa miru mon ja naku, sou kanaeru mon deshou?”. Which could basically translate as “Dreams aren’t something to see, that’s right, they’re something to grant, aren’t they?”. I don’t know if other people will see the connection I make between this (and the whole song it’s from) and being able to go on exchange. If you do, good for you! Haha. You get virtual pumpkin pie or something like that.

So, earlier today I got an e-mail from Mrs. Nelson about my flight to Japan… It turns out that they don’t want me in Japan until the 27th of August. Now, this is sort of conflicting, because I had been told something different until after I had bought my plane tickets.  Until then, I had been told they wanted me in Japan before August 26th.

Right now I have plane tickets booked for the 18th of August. Tomorrow (since my mom is working a double shift today) we’re going to check what the fees would be to change my flights around. From the FAQ pages I’ve read, though, they can (and usually do) charge $200 or more for changing the dates or times for international flights, and $150 or more for other flights. I don’t know if that means I’ll have to pay $200 or more for both of the two ‘international flights’ (Denver -> Vancouver, Vancouver -> Narita), or if it’ll just be $200 or more to change all of them. Hopefully the latter.

On a happier matter, I’ve been chatting with Rina a bit more through e-mail. I’ve learned that they have a puppy miniature schnauzer named Cinnamon! (Or ‘Shinamon’ if you take the romanization directly.) I also know the kind of shoes I need for school. Haha. We also have unofficial plans to go shopping to get me a bentou box together. I know I’ve said this before, but she seems really nice! As of right now, I think I’ll have a really good time with them.

Music, music, music~… A bit of a difference from usual. Up until now, I think that I’ve only used songs from bands in  Johnny’s Entertainment. Today, that is different! The band is ONE OK ROCK, a J-Rock band. Well, the lead singer of this band, TAKA (Morita Takahiro), used to be in the JE band NEWS, but dropped out voluntarily before their first single. So… Let’s get going! (This time I put the translation first.)
